General Electric Worker Feels 'Betrayed' By Co-Workers
The modular processing plant is a semi-mobile, three stage plant with a mobile jaw crusher that will be used onsite to reduce the size of ore extracted.

Now some workers at the General Electric Ohio Lamp Plant in Warren are bracing for what the future might hold after members of the IUE-CWA Teamsters Local 722 rejected a tentative agreement on Monday.
"This is crushing for us," said Greg Gotti of Champion, Cone crusher an 18-year General Electric employee.
Gotti is a third-generation lamp maker. His father and grandfather worked for General Electric.

Motor possibly connected improperly to crane before crushing man's legs
There may have been a problem with how a 4,000-pound motor was connected to a crane that fell on a 44-year-old man, a Department of Labour spokesperson said on Wednesday.Rodney Woodworth, regional director for the department's Occupational Health and Safety division,Bridge scraper reclaimer suppliers, said they are continuing to investigate the workplace accident at the old Citadel hotel site on Tuesday night.
"In the area where the incident occurred, there's a stop-work order," Woodworth said. "Our preliminary investigation is showing that there might have been a problem with the way the motors were connected to the crane, or there might have been problems with the motors themselves," Woodworth said.But Woodworth added everything had been done according to safety regulations, and the hazard wouldn't normally have been there for the worker, who was standing to the side of the crane.It took a dozen firefighters and rescue equipment to get the motor off the man, who saw his lower body crushed. He remains in hospital with serious injuries to his lower body.

Copper Mountain Q4 earnings up, mulls installing secondary crusher
British Columbia-focused Copper Mountain Mining this week said it had engaged an engineering firm to review the option of adding a secondary crusher to its eponymous operation to pre-crush ore entering the semi-autogenous grinding (SAG) mill, in order to increase the tonnage throughput.The company, which reported its fourth-quarter and full-year earnings on Monday, said although production had increased, the mill was still experiencing challenges meeting its nameplate capacity, as a result of the variability in ore hardness and fragmentation entering the SAG mill from various openpit locations.
Designs for this secondary crusher involved ore conveyed from the coarse-ore stock pile to the new crushing facility, where it would be crushed to 50% minus one inch. The company said initial estimates indicated the pre-crushing would result in an expansion to the grinding capacity and would ensure the mill met the original design capacity, while adding potential to increase the grinding capacity of the SAG to about 40 000 t/d.
The company said preliminary work estimated the crushing facility would cost about $40-million and would be funded out of cash flow or additional debt.Laurentian Bank Securieties Equity Research analyst Christopher Chang said while Copper Mountain could fund the $40-million (on a 100% basis) secondary crusher from internal cash flows, he believed the company would likely secure debt from its joint-venture partner."This would keep the company's balance sheet well insulated against prolonged operating hiccups and a meaningful decline in copper prices," the analyst said in a note to clients.
