Mobile crushers and screens from Terex

The Terex mineral processing group will use Bauma to launch the Terex Finlay 883 Spalek screen, I-100 impactor and J-1170 mobile jaw crusher, along with the Warrior 1400X screen, XA400S pre-screen and XH320X horizontal impact crusher, both from sister company Powerscreen. This unique stepped top deck design in the 883 Spalek's screen box, combined with state of the art flip flow technology on the bottom deck make the new machine ideal for processing difficult waste, recycling slag, construction and demolition waste, shredded metal, wood, compost and ores. According to the company, the heavy duty vibrating screen is close to blockage and maintenance free, and has a processing range of 1-120 mm.

The second new machine from Finlay is the I-100 Impactor, a direct drive horizontal impact crusher that makes use of Terex Finlay's robust and proven chamber to give excellent reduction ratios and high consistency of product shape. It features an advanced electronic control system that monitors and regulates the heavy duty feeder with integrated pre-screen to maintain a consistent feed of material into the impact chamber for optimal crushing conditions. These two new machines will be joined by the company's J-1170 high performance primary mobile jaw crusher that has already been proven in recycling, aggregate production and mining applications.

Sister company Powerscreen, meanwhile, will be giving the Warrior 1400X screen its very first public outing and showcasing other product improvements on its stand space. The 1400X has been designed with economy in mind, said the company, with a reduced engine running speed and enhanced hydraulics that offers up to a -15% reduction in fuel consumption in comparison to its predecessor.

Powerscreen will also be showing off its XA400S pre-screen, which has been developed to incorporate a fully independent high amplitude, hydraulically driven pre-screen with an increased drop angle on the bottom deck to improve machine throughput and overall capacity. To further this, the discharge opening from the under chute has been increased from 200 mm to 320 mm, allowing faster movement of pre-screened material to bypass the crushing chamber.
